eXtatus have been crowned champions of the Mistrovství České Republiky tournament with a 19-15 victory over fofos gaming.
Held in the Czech town of Seč, the MCR 2011, known as Czech PC Games Championship 2011, gathered the top 16 teams from Slovakia and the Czech Republic, who battled it out for €4,270 in prizes.
eSuba, led by Tomáš "oskar!" Šťastný, were highly favoured for the trophy, but losses to eXtatus and nEophyte deprived them of a place on the podium.
eXtatus continued their good run of form and beat fofos gaming twice, first in the Upper Final 16-14, and then in 19-15 in the Grand Final, to secure the MCR 2011 trophy.
Broken tag
This is the second major accomplishment for eXtatus in just two months, after the team won the Playzone.cz GIGABYTE League in February, also beating fofos in the final.
The team witnessed the departure of Jiří "LogeN" Vinš to Cracked Gamers right after the tournament, but overcame the loss with ex-eSuba David "selby" Hloch.
